Transformed Works
Shelter is fundamental to human life. We leave behind traces of abandoned places that were once full of this life – both in the world and in the psychic space of time. Seeing this history of decay is unsettling because life clings to these spaces as they speak to mortality and the realities of geological time. A home is a fragile castle. The animals inhabiting these places are drawn from the taxidermy displays at the UI Museum of Natural History.
